Following
the steep climb along the soil- and
root-laden path from Hohenecken village,
this is where you first enter the
ruins of Burg Hohenecken.
To the left in the foreground are
portions of the keep and curtain wall,
giving way to the right a crevice
that once secured the armoury, then
the wall that housed the living quarters/cellar
and first-floor knights' hall and
second-floor chapel.
From the foreground, if you walk a
few steps and turn left, you will
enter the area that once housed the
bailey. If you continue straight,
you will enter the area of the barbican
and fantastic views of Hohenecken
village and surrounding mountains.
